Easy to assemble - a quick, one person job. The only difficult part was removing the black sheath from the gas lift (the pole) but it's easy enough to pry it off with a tool like a flat end screwdriver. Just go for it.They height adjustment goes quite high. The seating material is comfy enough. The chairs are lightweight enough to move easily. The seats swivel readily.When I first got on, I felt a little like I would fall forward, but I feel like that comes with the territory of a high bar stool. I only use this stool at the countertop, so it's not a problem. After weeks of use, I find them comfortable. I was worried at first about tipping, but I have found that while these are lightweight, there's been no issues with tilting over/feeling like it'll fall. Goes without saying, but these wouldn't work well as free standing chairs.We needed some no fuss seats for our counter, and this is it. We use them for dinner each day without complaint. My main critique: the seats are not wide enough (they are 15 in wide). We have asses of the mediocre size range, and they are just enough for us. We've gotten use to it, but I'd prefer a chair that accommodates the thigh squish. For the well-endowed, get something with a wider seat, esp if you plan to sit for long periods.Really easy to assemble I did it myself,the chair is elegant & comfortable, I'm very pleasedThese are not sturdy high quality chairs but I did not expect them to be for the price. I totally would have if one of the bases weren’t dented, and another one was scratched pretty good. They are beautiful otherwise. Super easy to put together. I ordered the four pack. They came in two boxes. They are pretty sturdy but if you push back on the counter they do tip, so need to have them adequately spaced from the counter so you can get in and out without tipping them.
